BREAKING NEWS: The Hawk Moth

From Reporter John Smith: The Death Head...Literally...
N is sad to admit that the tomato hornworm moth she has been keeping, is officially dead. We have interviewed N and this is what she says:

I have some really bad news.

Our BEST tomato hornworm/hawk moth has died. *SOB*

S said maybe it died because Ummi didn't take us out to let it go immediately, and so it got crammed up in the jar because it couldn't fly. So today, Ummi's friend Joycie came for Abata. They did Abata and talked for like about 2 hours.

When Joycie had to leave, Ummi asked S and I if we wanted to come with her to let the moth go. Before that, we were checking out the moth in the sunroom. S kept dropping sugar water on it with a cotton ball, due to her research, but nothing happened.

Earlier in the morning, like after Fajr, it had moved a little. Its antenna moved a bit and S said its tocks* moved too, a bit. She said it was moving less every day. We had to tell mom; the moth was officially dead.

So when she and Joycie were getting ready to go, we brought the jar to her and announced that it was dead. Ummi was like *GASP* and Joycie looked at it and said 'aww!'.

So me and S got ready to go. H was still sleeping (it was like 1pm @ the time, & S said he's been sleeping since 8 or 9am.) and so we left him home alone sleeping. Then we left. On the way, S asked mom why all the animals we raise always die. Mom laughed.

We dropped Joycie off at Sry's house, and then we went to go find a place to put the moth.

We stopped @ this place. S and I got out of the van and went to a place where there were patches of grass unlike the man who keeps his lawn clean. S took the plastic wrap off the Lychee jar. I reached in and tried to hold the moth but it was kinda round. I finally got hold of it and put it in the grass. It was upside down. I tried making it right side up, but it stayed up side down. We left it there in the grass and S dumped all the dirt, flowers & junk out. I saw the cocoon and told S to keep it. She scooped it up & then we ran back to the van. & guess what? Mom still had the nerve to call it ugly! >:O My fingers were gray and dusty from touching the moth. S said it was the scales.

We drove home and tried scaring H by banging on the door like strangers usually do 'cause they don't know there is a doorbell. But he still wasn't awake yet. So mom finally unlocked the door and we got in and got ready to pray Zohor. When we were finished mom called H to pray by himself. He didn't know that we left him home alone, apparently.

Mom called us murderers.

And so that is the story. Here are pictures of the moth.

Sadly, it is dead now.

That is all N says from her experience with the hawk moth's death. Thank you for reading, and until then, please stay tuned!

BREAKING NEWS: Sharkbait Has Been Renamed!

From Reporter John Smith:
S has gotten many low ratings of her fish's name, so she decided to change it. We have interviewed S' sister and this is what she says:

Due to many low ratings of Sharkbait's name, S became offended and decided to change the fish's name. She took many years trying to find a better name. She wanted the name Ceto, but then found out it meant Sea Goddess. OMG!! So she settled on Iceblaze, after looking at a Warrior name generator.

And that's all N says about Sharkbait's name changing.Thank you for reading, and until then, please stay tuned. Thank you.

BREAKING NEWS: N and S now have Betta Fishes!

I'm telling you, this might be my second longest post yet. ~N~

From Reporter John Smith:
Today, at about 10 AM, after playing tennis, N's family went to some stores to buy things. They went to Petco and bought some fish. We have interviewed N, and this is what she says:

Well, actually, John Smith, I didn't really play tennis, I was the rollerblading ballgirl. And I also got damaged.

Today, after we were done playing tennis, we got into the van smellilly*. We went to the dirty, smelly store called Ross Dress for More. H needed new shoes and S needed jeans, it seemed. So she chose three jeans and went to the fitting room with me. All the jeans didn't fit me. *SOB*

We didn't buy anything there except a skirt for Mom. We wanted to go to Petco Supplies and Fish, so we did. We went to go look at the fishes, and there were like, HUGE cockroaches there. Then, we went to go see the betta fish, a.k.a. Siamese Fighting fish. WE GOT TO GET SOME! Mom told us we could buy a divider tank for both my and S' fish. I chose a reddish-pink Crowntail Male, and S chose an aqua-colored, constipated Doubletail Male. Yes, it was really constipated. H was acting like a real boss. I think he was a bit too excited.

I found these rainbow rocks that I really wanted. But, *SOB* I couldn't buy them, because H had some leftover rocks at home.

We bought the tank, food, and plant. I was supposed to buy it and S would pay me back, but instead my dad paid for it. Then we left the store, carefully holding our fishes. I was really scared that my fish would die, because one time, I was at a friend's house, and she had a pond at her back yard. We got a net and caught some fish and put it in a container. Then, I was carrying one of the containers with the fish in it, and by the time we got home, the fish was already dead, because I wiggled the container too much. *SOB* I think the fish was a minnow.

When we got home, we immediately set up the fish tank. We first opened the tank box, and we took everything out. I put the fishes on S's desk while H and S set everything up. They told me to go wash the gravel, and so I did, and I took years, and when I finally was done, S was like, "That took years." And H was like, "I know right?" Offensive, right? Well, I beautifully washed the gravel, but do you know what they said? They said, "YOU DIDN'T WASH IT PROPERLY, TUPA'!"

Okay, well they didn't actually yell, but you know.

S had this ungenius idea to put the gravel in a red plastic cup and wash it like that. So I did. And it was still 'not proper'. H was like, 'whatever'. He poured the gravel in my section of the divided tank, then the plant. S' part of the tank had rocks. Then we poured the fish in. S' was first. BLOOP! Then mine. BLEEP! Then, WOOHOO! We got our fishes! Oh yeah!

And so that is the story of our fishes. I did take pictures. I do not have a name for mine yet, but I suggested S name her fish Constable. You know, we separated our tanks because S' fish was El Constipato. S did some research and found out her fish was constipated, and found out it needed to eat cooked peas. LOL!

And that's all N says about getting her pet fish. Thank you for reading, and until then, please stay tuned. Thank you.

BREAKING NEWS: N Finds Nasty Caterpillar

I'm telling you, this is my longest post yet. ~N~

From Reporter John Smith:

Today, at about 9:00 AM, N claims to have found a big, nasty, green and purple caterpillar. We have interviewed her and this is what she says:

Well, this morning while S and I were waiting for someone to pick us up to go to something, S saw something nasty crawling next to one of the pots in our front yard. I saw it too and we both ran screaming into the house.

"EEWWW!!! WE SAW A CATERPILLAR! IT WAS SO NASTY!"
"IT'S LIKE A CENTIMETER THICK!"

Then we carefully came back out again and looked at it. It was still there, crawling. I got a twig from the ground and tried to pick it up. But the caterpillar was too heavy and it squirmed nastily and fell off.

S went to go get a jar to put it in. I took it and tried to scoop up the crawling caterpillar. It squirmed and curled up. (Even its squirming was scary!) I finally got it in the jar, along with some rocks. Then we started to find a bigger container for the caterpillar. S finally found a Lychee Jelly container. It was a good size, maybe 7" by 5". We put in some rocks and leaves, and a stick.

Just then, the person came to pick us up. We put the jar and container next to the stairs, and our final message was, "No one touch it!"

*** (Two Hours Later...)

Well, when we came back at about 11 something, the first thing we thought about was.....the nasty catty! (I'll just call it that from now on, until I tell you its real name.)
H said he had searched up 'nasty green and purple caterpillars' and he got a result. He said the catty was a tomato hornworm. Well, no wonder it was in the garden! My tomato plant was on the wall.

S did some research and found out that the worm had to be in a container filled with dirt. So we took the lychee container and emptied all the rocks and sticks out. We filled it with potting mix and put some tomato plant leaves on top. Then we plopped the creepy worm in. (Yes, I will put up pictures!) We put the container on a high shelf in the sunroom. We did a bit more research and found out that the tomato hornworm had to be in a dark place, not exposed to the sun. So we covered the container with a cloth. The worm moved a bit, and later I found it burrowing in the dirt. When I told S, she said,"Oh! Really?! That's cool! That means it's gonna...uh.."
"Turn into a moth?" I finished.
"Yeah!"
So now, it's still there, at the bottom of the container. S said that sometimes they die from burrowing. OMG.
Research says they make great pets!

And that's all N says from her experience with a tomato hornworm. Thank you for reading, and until then, please stay tuned. Thank you.
